Kuwait-Mubasher: Kuwait Telecommunication Company (Viva) has denied the news published in a local newspaper on Monday under the headline “Viva’s board approves STC acquisition offer and awaits CMA approval.”

The company noted on Wednesday that while Kuwait’s Capital Markets Authority (CMA) has not yet approved the acquisition request submitted by Saudi Telecom (STC), Viva had not proceeded formally in any way with regard to this offer, according to a bourse statement.

Viva added that the board has not held a meeting to discuss the acquisition request, stressing that the company will inform the CMA with the latest updates, if any.
