Riyadh-Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s stock market ended Wednesday’s choppy session with a modest gain of 0.09% or 6 points at7208 .
A total of 198 million shares were exchanged through 86,000 transactions at a turnover of SAR 4.4 billion.
Eight sectors moved higher, topped by the media and industrial investment which climbed 2.59% and 1% in a row.
Meanwhile, seven sectors declined, led by the multi-investment which dipped 0.57% and energy which fell 0.45%. In addition, the petrochemical sector slid 0.20% as SABIC snapped a seven-session running run, falling 0.09% to SAR 89.75.
As for stocks, gainers outperformed losers 86 to 73. Sagr Insurance led the way in gains, surging 6%. Meanwhile, Wataniya was the major disappointment, shedding 3.8%.
