Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) main index on Thursday closed at 4,219.86 points, after dropping by 0.26% or 10.86 points.
Trading volume came to 54.40 million shares worth AED 320.5 million, versus AED 171 million reached yesterday, with a rise of 87.24%.
The consumer staples sector topped the decliners with a 2% decrease, as Agthia share moved 2.31% down.
Eshraq and Aldar shares drove the real estate to a 1.74% fall, after slipping 3.92% and 1.65%, respectively.
The energy sector also fell by 0.99%, as Taqa share plummeted by 4.35%. Etisalat share pushed the telecom sector 0.32% down.
The banking sector shrank 0.04% pressured by National Bank of Abu Dhabi and First Gulf Bank which fell 1.14% and 0.82%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the industrial sector led the gainers with 1.55% up.
