Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt has appointed ex-central bank governor Farouk al-Okda to join the Central Bank of Egypt coordination council.
The coordination council works on setting the monetary policy goals in liaison with the government.
The decision was published in the official gazette a day before new central bank governor Tarek Amer takes the helm.
