Kuwait's money supply up 1.2% in Sep – CBK

Kuwait - Mubasher: Kuwait's money supply (M2) advanced 1.2% month-on-month to KWD 34.34 billion in September, according to the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK).

The local banking sector saw its net foreign assets surge by 1.1% to KWD 8,087.1 billion in September, CBK said Tuesday in its monthly bulletin.

The CBK's data also showed that the private sector's deposits in Kuwaiti dinar at the local banks increased 1.9% to KWD 29462.5 million. Meanwhile, the private sector's deposits in foreign currency at the local banks went down 5% to KWD 3842.7 million, CBK's added

“The private sector’s deposits at local banks totaled KWD 33305.2 million,” CBK’s economic research department concluded.
