Jordan’s domestic liquidity rises 7% in 9M – C.bank

Mubasher: Jordan’s domestic liquidity rose by 7% in the first nine months of 2015 compared with figures recorded at the end of 2014, said the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ).

The country’s liquidity increased by JOD 1.937 billion to reach around JOD 31.177 billion at the end of September, up from JOD 29.24 billion.

The rise in liquidity was spurred by a rise in deposits at local banks to JOD 27.136 billion. The amount of cash rose by JOD 237 million in the nine-month period to JOD 4.04 billion.
