Mubasher: European shares opened Tuesday lower, hurt by the steep decline in their Chinese peers as well as falling oil prices.

At 9:05GMT, the UK's FTSE slipped 1.59% and German's DAX fell 1.41%. In addition, France's CAC lost 1.74%.

FTSEurofirst 300 Index declined 1.33%, and Euronext 100 Index moved 1.6% lower.
