Mubasher: European shares opened Friday on a mixed note.
UK's FTSE 100 Index rose 0.43% to 4,924 points, while German's DAX slid 0.28% to 9,367.
German factory orders fell more than anticipated in December, in a sign that a global trade slowdown may be restraining parts of Europe’s largest economy even as domestic consumption proves robust.
Spain's IBEX 35 rose 0.39% to 17,694, and France's CAC was up 0.58% to 4,253.
France's trade surplus reached 3.94 billion euros in December, compared with 4.53 billion euros in the previous month, and forecasts of 4.40 billion euros.
Stoxx600 index added 0.07% to 329.
