QSE gains 78 points, snaps Sunday’s fall

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange ended Monday’s session in the green zone, as it edged up 0.81% or 77.8 points to 9698.37 points. Thus, the market reversed the decline seen on Sunday.

QE Al Rayan Islamic Index also rose by 1.90% to 3,482.12 points. QE All Share Index also notched up 0.96% to 2,587.91 points.

Trading volume increased by 52.1% to 10.37 million shares from 6.82 million shares exchanged a session earlier.

Likewise, trading value jumped 56%, recording QAR336.68 million versus QAR215.83 million yesterday.

Today’s leader was the real estate sector with 9.53% growth. Meanwhile, the laggard was the insurance sector with 4.62% fall.

Qatari Investors Group was the best advancer (+9.53%), while Gulf International Services was the worst decliner (-4.62%).

Barwa Real Estate was the most active stock across the board, after 1.96 million shares worth QAR65.95 million were traded over 679 transactions.
