ASE sags for second session on financial, services

Mubasher: Amman Stock Exchange stayed in the red zone for the second session in a row as the main gauge lost 0.68% or 14.37 points to close at 2,111.27 points.

Trading value dropped to JOD7.3 million from JOD8.6 million yesterday, while traded volume amounted to 7.7 million shares traded over 3,770 transactions.

Sector-wise, the financial sector headed decliners with a drop of 0.7%, followed by the services (-0.65%). Meanwhile, the industrial sector was the only riser with a gain of 0.08%

The main index was battered by the decline of 59 companies out of 116traded today, while 22 companies advanced.

Transport and Investment Barter  was the worst decliner by 5% to JOD0.57, followed by Ad Dulayl Industrial Park and Real Estate with a fall of 4.95% to JOD1.15.

On the positive note, Arab Electrical Industries was the best advancer with a rise of 5% to JOD0.84, then came Babelon Investments that increased by 4.76% to JOD1.1.
