The general index lost 0.19% or 10.45 points to reach 5,388.02 points.
Shariah index rose 0.05% to reach 833.75 points.
Trading volume reached 37.4 million shares through 1,684 transactions, with turnover reaching OMR 8.1 million.
The financial sector declined 0.24%, while the industrial and services sectors rose 0.43% and 0.14%, respectively.
United Power topped gainers after adding 9.88%, while the Construction Material Industry led losers after falling 3.33%.
Oman International Development and Investment Co. was the most active company after generating 5.36 million shares, with a trading value of OMR 2.4 million.
