Mubasher: Bahrain Tourism Company’s (BTC) profits grew by 27% in the last quarter of 2015.
The company also announced an increase in the dividends compared to the previous year.
BTC achieved BHD677,000 ($1.8 million) net earnings in the three months ended on 31 December 2015, compared to a BHD533,000 ($1.4 million) in same period of 2014, according to company’s statement to Bahrain bourse website.
Financial statements showed a decline in the company's annual profits by 32.45%, to BHD2.137 million, compared to BHD1.6 million by the end of FY14.
The board of directors recommended dividends for the fiscal year 2015 at 17% or 17 fils per share, while 2014 dividends were 12 fils per share.
The tourism company's profit in nine-month period ended on 30 September 2015 rose by 35.6% to BHD1.46 million ($3.87 million), compared with BHD1.08 million ($2.86 million) during same period of 2014.
The company’s stock reached the level of BHD0.228 at its last trading on 12 February with a trading volume 18,300 shares at BHD4,200.
