The STOXX Europe 600 index fell 0.79% to 341.94 points, and UK’s FTSE 100 declined 0.59%.

Germany’s DAX lost 0.34%, and France’s CAC was 0.57% down.

Investors are anticipating the U.S Federal Reserve to announce its decision about the latest monetary developments on Wednesday.

The BOJ has kept its commitment to raise the monetary base by 80 trillion yen, and maintained the interest rates at their current low levels, according to the bank’s website.
