China’s FDI up 1.8% in February

Mubasher: China’s foreign direct investment (FDI) increased by 1.8% year-on-year in February to $8.44 billion, according to the state’s trade ministry.

In early February, the ministry said the FDI grew by 2.7% to $22.52 billion in the first two months of 2016 compared with the same period of 2015.

Gao Hucheng, minister of trade, earlier said his country recorded a 5.6% rise year-on-year in FDI to $126 billion during 2015, with the services and manufacturing sectors accounting for more than 70% of the total, The Hindu newspaper reported.
