Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi developer Miral Asset Management plans to open a Warner Bros themed destination in Abu Dhabi by 2018, Chairman Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak said.

The $1 billion project, located in the centre of Yas Island, will include the first Warner Bros branded hotel alongside the theme park, he added on the sidelines of a press conference on Tuesday.

The project will be totally funded by Miral, Al Mubarak noted.

The theme park will help Yas Island take its annual visitor tally from 25 million in 2015 to 30 million in 2018, Al Mubarak concluded.
