Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Monday’s session in green as the benchmark MSM 30 grew 0.07% or 4.04 points to 5,952.1 points.
The Shariah index also rose 0.14% or 1.24 point to the level of 882.05 points.
The financial sector advanced 0.46% as Oman and Emirates Investment Holding topped gainers by adding 9.96%, and Al Sharqiya Investment Holding rose 8.7%.
The services sector saw an increase of 0.44%, backed by a rise of 9.44% in National Gas and 3.73% Renaissance Services.
Meanwhile, the industrial sector fell 0.22% as Galfar Engineering and Al Jazeera Steel Products declined by 2.5% and 1.5% respectively.
Trading volume grew to 23.39 million shares from 22.89 million shares exchanged yesterday. Turnover also increased to OMR 10.97 million from OMR 4.24 million.
Galfar Engineering was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 3.94 million shares, while Sharqiyah Desalination made the highest liquidity of OMR 4.71 million.
MSM 30 rose yesterday by 0.09% or 5.34 points to 5,948.07 points.
