Riyadh – Mubasher: The National Company for Glass Industries (Zoujaj) on Tuesday said its sister company Gulf Guard has received a licence to commence operations in its new coated glass treatment line.
Trial operations are scheduled to begin on 5 May, Zoujaj said in a filing to the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul), adding that it will announce the beginning of commercial production in the future.
Zoujaj owns a 45% stake in Gulf Guard.
In September 2014, the Saudi-listed firm said that the board of Saudi Guardian International Float Glass (Gulf Guard) has approved designing and implement a project to treat coated glass to increase sales by 15%.
The company expected trial production to begin in Q2-16 and commercial production to begin in Q3 of the same year.
