Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) closed Sunday in the green zone, as the benchmark MSM 30 rose 0.08% to 5,931.09 points.
The Shariah index also grew 0.11% or 0.95 point to the level of 887.06 points.
The industrial, financial and services sectors increased collectively by 0.39%, 0.30% and 0.05% respectively.
Trading volume decreased 52.83% to 8.59 million shares from 18.18 million shares exchanged on Thursday. Turnover also fell by 48.83% to OMR 2.2 million from OMR 4.3 million.
Al Madina for Finance and Investment topped gainers by adding 3.18%, while Sohar Power headed losers after dropping 9.66%.
Omantel made the highest liquidity of OMR 450,040, whereas Galfar Engineering was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 1.84 million shares.
MSM 30 declined on Thursday by 0.36% or 21.5 points to the level of 5,931 points.
