Riyadh – Mubasher: Intra-trade between Islamic countries reached $878 billion in 2015, revealed Saudi minister of trade and investment Majid Al Qasabi on Sunday.

Speaking at The 15th Exhibition for the Members of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Riyadh (Islamic Expo), the minister asserted that Saudi Arabia was moving forward with its plans to bring about a major leap in its national economy on the short term by 2020 and on the long term by 2030.

This leap will be reflected on the individual, and the Kingdom as a whole and as part of the Islamic world, he added.

The Islamic Expo hosts around 30 Islamic countries and is organised by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Trade and Investment in cooperation with OIC.
