Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) closed Monday in green as the benchmark MSM 30 grew 0.29% or 17.32 points to the level of 5,948.41 points.

The services sector was the best performing sector after rising 0.54% as Renaissance Services topped gainers by adding 4.83%.

The industrial sector also rose by 0.46% thanks to an increase of 3.77% in Galfar Engineering, which was the most active stock with a volume of 3.08 million shares exchanged at OMR 338,420.

National Aluminium Products headed the red list with a 1.58% fall.

The financial sector grew by 0.22%, backed by the rise in Al Anwar Holdings by 0.89%, while National Bank of Oman shrank 0.38%.

Trading volume increased 70.8% to 14.67 million shares from 8.59 million shares exchanged yesterday. Turnover also rose 42.3% to OMR 3.13 million from OMR 2.2 million.
