Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market closed in red for the fourth session in a row as the benchmark MSM 30 declined 0.41% or 24.17 points to the level of 5,890.45 points.
The Shariah index also shrank 0.25% or 2.21 points to the level of 884.19 points.
Trading volume decreased 43.17% to 9.68 million shares from 17 million shares exchanged on Thursday. Turnover also retreated 30.9% to OMR 2.4 million from OMR 3.5 million.
The financial, industrial and services sectors fell collectively by 0.66%, 0.57% and 0.24% respectively.
Omantel was the best performing share after adding 0.93%, while Al Hassan Engineering topped the red list after decreasing 3.33%.
Oman Cables Industry made the highest liquidity of OMR 696,900, while Bank Sohar was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 1.44 million shares.
The index closed Thursday’s session with a drop of 0.27$ or 15.89 points to the level of 5,914.62 points.
