Qatari bourse loses 61 pts in early trade

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index opened Monday’s session in the red zone as it dropped 0.59% or 60.67 points to the level of 9,614.99 points.

Trading volume reached 450,620 shares exchanged at QAR 15.6 million through 524 transactions.

The telecom and banking were the worst performing sectors after falling 1.86% and 0.92% respectively, while the real estate and consumer goods were the only risers as the added 0.21% and 0.14% respectively.

Widam Food led gainers by rising 1% with 550,000 shares traded at QAR 31,800, while Al Khalij Commercial Bank topped losers with a 2.65% decrease as 1,520 shares were exchanged at QAR 24,400.

Masraf Al Rayan made the highest activity with 78,877 shares exchanged at QAR 2.6 million.

The bourse’s main gauge closed yesterday at the level of 9,675.66 points.
