Mubasher: Asian stock markets closed Monday’s trading on a positive note, amid a fall in yen and oil.

In Japan, the benchmark Nikkei rose 1.4% to the level of 17,068.02 points, and the broader TOPIX index grew 1.2% to 1,366 points, according to MarketWatch.

China’s Shanghai index edged up 0.05%.

The Japanese currency fell against dollar by 0.9%.
