Doha-Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) saw a bearish performance in Wednesday’s early trades.
The general index lost 0.01% or 1.24 points to reach 9,741.17 points by 9:50am Qatar time.
The market was pressured by the real estate stocks including Ezdan Holding Group and Mazaya Real Estate Development which advanced 0.62% and 0.52% respectively.
Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding was the best performer after rising 1.65% to OMR 18.45, after generating QAR 2.03 million from the exchange of 109,800 shares.
The market saw trading of 457,500 shares through 185 transactions, with a turnover of QAR 17.5 million.
The transportation sector topped gainers after adding 0.63%, followed by the real estate, consumer goods and services, and insurance sectors at 0.41%, 0.34% and 0.02% respectively.
On the flipside, the telecom sector advanced 0.44%, followed by the industrials, and banks and financial services sectors at 0.22% and 0.12% respectively.
