MSM 30 closes 0.32% lower

Mubasher: The benchmark MSM 30 of Muscat Securities Market ended Thursday’s session falling 0.32% or 18.39 points to the level of 5,808.07 points.

The Shariah index also shrank 0.14% to the level of 885.29 points.

Trading volume reached 18.23 million shares exchanged at OMR 2.87 million, versus OMR 1.88 million reached on Wednesday.

The industrial, financial and services sectors declined collectively by 0.32%, 0.53% and 0.19% respectively.

Construction Material Industry and Al Jazeera Steel Products was the top performers after adding 3.23% and 0.49% respectively.

Meanwhile, Galfar Engineering headed the red list after dropping 2.68%, followed by Oman United Insurance and Al Anwar Holding with a fall of 2.36% and 2.09% respectively.

Bank Nizwa was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 5.6 million shares, while Bank Muscat made the highest liquidity with OMR 563,080.

MSM 30 dropped on Wednesday by 0.21%.
