Doha-Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) saw a negative performance in Thursday’s mid-trade.

The main index fell 0.2% or 20.81 points to reach 9,898.6 points by 10:30am Qatar time

The market saw trading of 316,860 shares through 243 transactions, with a turnover of QAR 12.27 million.

The insurance sector was the worst performer after falling 0.51%, while the real estate and transportation sectors slid 0.34% and 0.26% respectively.

The real estate sector went down 0.27% as Ezdan Holding Group levelled down 0.44%.

The industrial sector also retreated, pressured down by Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding and Aamal Company which slid 1.05% and 0.77% respectively.

The banks sector decreased 0.15% due to a decline in Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB) by 1.1%. Meanwhile, Khaleeji Commercial Bank topped gainers with a 1.23% rise, trimming the sector’s losses.

The telecom sector tailed the losers list after falling 0.12%.

Qatar First Bank (QFB) was the most active stock with a trading volume of 57,600 shares, while Industries Qatar was the value leader after generating QAR 4.5 million.
