Riyadh-Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) saw marginal gains in the week ended 23 June.

The main index added 0.13%, or 8.33 points, to reach 6,550.97 this week, compared to 6,542.64 points last week.

Turnover reached SAR 15.44 billion ($4.12 billion) this week, a decline of 17.3% from SAR 18.67 billion ($4.98 billion) last week. Trading volume stood at 892.1 million shares, compared to 1.19 billion shares.

The real estate development sector topped gainers after rising 4%, backed by Dar Al Arkan, Jabal Omar Development and Emaar the Economic City which grew 4.43%, 3.5% and 1.93% respectively.

The telecom sector climbed 2%, spurred by STC and Mobily which levelled up 1.53% and 2.2% respectively.

The petrochemical industries sector went up 0.06% as SABIC and SAFCO advanced 0.95% and 3.06% respectively.

The energy sector led losers after closing 5.55% lower, pressured down by Saudi Eletricity Co. which slipped 6.89%.

The banks sector sank 0.63% as Sabb Takaful and Samba Financial Group decreased 2.36% and 3.3% respectively.

Al Inma Bank was the most active and value leader after generating SAR 2.6 billion from the exchange of 193.13 million shares.
