Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose on Wednesday by 0.1% or 9.81 points to the level of 9,877.75 points.
The insurance sector was the best performer after adding 2.22%, followed by the consumer goods and services sector with a growth of 0.45%.
The real estate sector rose 0.28% as Barwa and Ezdan Holding grew 0.46% and 0.33% respectively.
The transportation sector advanced 0.38% thanks to the rise in Milaha, Nakilat and Gulf Warehousing by 0.7%, 0.22% and 0.17% respectively.
Meanwhile, the telecom, industrial and banking sectors declined by 0.67%, 0.15% and 0.05% respectively.
Dlala Holding was the most active stock with trading volume of 367,700 shares, while Gulf International made the highest liquidity of QAR 11.8 million.
Trading volume decreased 34.9% to 2.9 million shares from 4.3 million shares exchanged on Tuesday, turnover also shrank 26.6% to QAR 95.2 million from QAR 129.75 million.
