Cairo – Mubasher: The commercial bank’s investment arm, CI Capital Holding, chews over all possible variants for expanding its ownership base within the coming period, said Mahmoud Attalla, Deputy Chairman and Group CEO.

“All variants and scenarios are open for discussion to broaden shareholders’ base in the upcoming period”, he told Mubasher in a phone call, declining to reveal further details about these variants.

Earlier, Beltone Financial Holding, OTMT subsidiary, sought to finalize the acquisition of CI Capital before the end of the first quarter of 2016 at EGP 924 million, but the deal was shut off as governmental agencies insisted on hampering the process.

CI Capital is an Egypt-based premier investment bank with market-leading investments, securities brokerage, asset management and research franchises.
