Mubasher: Oman Fiber Optic’s profits rose by 218.93% in the second quarter of 2016, according to its unaudited financial results.

The company earned OMR 893,000 ($2.31 million), compared to OMR 280,000 ($724,810) for the year-ago period.

On a six-month basis, earnings increased by 186.21% year-on-year to OMR 1.49 million from OMR 522,000.

Further, the company’s revenues stood OMR 14.83 million in the first half, down 50.5% year-over-year from OMR 9.86 million.

In the first quarter, the company earned OMR 601,000 compared to OMR 242,000 for Q1-15.
