Doha – Mubasher: Doha Bank reported on Wednesday a net profit of QAR 353.9 million ($97.1 million) for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2016; 7% down from QAR 380.8 million ($104.5 million) posted for Q2-15.

In the first half of fiscal 2016, net profit dropped 11.6% to came to QAR 708 million from QAR 801 million in the same period of 2015.

Earnings per share reached QAR 2.55 for H1-16, compared to QAR 3.10 for H1-15, according to a bourse filing.

Net loans and advances increased by 4.5% to   QAR 55.4 billion by the end of June 2016, versus QAR 53.1 billion for the same period last year.

Customer deposits rose in H1-16 1.3% to QAR 52.4 billion from QAR 51.7 in H1-15.

The stock ended today’s trading at QAR 36.6, falling 1.21%.
