Mubasher: GCC stock markets are expected to initiate the trading week with a selling wave amid lack of positive data, weaker oil prices, and varied financial results, analysts told Mubasher.
Investors and fund managers are likely to begin a selling trend this week, said market analyst Fouad Darwish, describing this tendancy as a "pre-emptive step" before their losses become deeper amid financial results contrary to expectations, Darwish added.
However, foreign investors are seen showing interest in some GCC stocks, namely the small-cap leading stocks that have stood at attractive purchasing levels, said Market analyst Omar Alghamdi.
In general, Hamoud Al Azimy, capital market analyst, advised investors not to hurry into a decision to buy GCC stocks, namely amid the current volatile performance of global and oil markets.
