QSE loses 50 pts at open

Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) declined in Sunday’s early trading by 0.47% or 49.97 points to the level of 10,484.43 points.

By 9:50 AM Doha time, trading volume reached 662,110 shares exchanged at QAR 16.79 million through 372 transactions.

The index was pressured by the fall in blue chips as Ezdan dropped 0.51%, Industries Qatar slid 1.22% and Masraf Al Rayan shrank by 0.84%.

The early session saw a collective fall by the bourse’s sectors, topped by the transportation sector with a 0.87% decrease as Nakilat dropped 1.96%, while Gulf Warehouses rose 0.84%.

The industrial, consumer goods and insurance sectors retreated by 0.64%, 0.64% and 0.04% respectively.

Al Meera topped losers after falling by 1.82%, whereas National Leasing Holding led gainers by adding 2.71%.

Gulf Warehousing made the highest liquidity of QAR 3.81 million, while National Leasing made the biggest trading volume activity with 168,300 shares traded.
