Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange initiated Sunday's trading session on a positive note.

By 10:30am Cairo time, the main index EGX30 added 9 points, or 0.12%, to reach 7,445 points.

The small and mid-cap EGX70 opened 0.33% higher to 359 points.

The broader index EGX100 was 0.22% up to 764.9 points and the equal-weighted index EGX50 increased by 0.36% to 1,328.5 points.

Nationals were net buyers by EGP 724,200, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers by EGP 485,700 and EGP 238,500 respectively.

Trading value stood at EGP 22.2 million after 9.7 million shares were traded.

Out of 79 traded stocks, 23 ones moved up; 16 went down; and 40 stayed at their previous levels.

Earlier analysts told Mubasher that Cairo bourse is seen moving between the resistance of 7,700 and support of 7,300 during this week.

On Thursday, Cairo bourse ended the trading session in the negative zone for the second session in a row after EGX30 shed 66.5 points, or 0.89%, to 7,436.87 points.
