Cairo – Mubasher: Yields on Egypt's 91-day and 273-day treasury bills saw a rise at a regular auction on Sunday, said the Ministry of Finance.

The yield of 91-day bills moved up to 14.272% from 14.149% a week earlier and the yield on the 273-tranche also went up to 15.752% compared with 15.570% last week, according to the ministry.

Earlier, the Central Bank of Egypt auctioned EGP 10 billion in treasury bills on behalf of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) through two auctions: a 91-day auction at a value of EGP4.75 billion and a 273-day auction at a value of EGP5.25 billion.

During July-May 2015/16, the country's budget deficit widened 19% year-over-year to EGP 311 billon (or 11.2% of gross domestic product).
