Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday's trading session on a mixed note.
By 10:30am Cairo time, the main index fell by 0.11% to the mark of 7,455 points.
Tracking EGX30 stocks, CIB, Beltone, SODIC, and Global telecom rose by 0.05%, 8.8%, 0.8%, and 0.26%, respectively.
On the flipside, Amer Group, Crédit Agricole Egypt, Elsewedy Electric, TMG, EFG-Hermes, GB Auto saw a slide ranging from 0.1% to 3.6% at open.
On the same negative note, the broader index EGX100 inched down 0.01% to 764.5 points.
Meanwhile, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 rose by 0.12% to 358.8 points and the equal-weighted index EGX50 opened 0.14% higher to 1,334.2 points.
Trading value reached EGP 31.6 million after 8.7 million shares were traded.
Out of 68 traded stocks, 12 ones moved up; 18 went down; and 38 stayed at their previous levels.
Foreign investors were net sellers by EGP 4 million, while nationals and Arabs were net buyers by EGP 1.4 million and EGP 2.6 million, respectively.
