Mubasher: The benchmark MSM 30 of Muscat Securities Market closed Thursday’s trading with a rise of 0.56% or 32.79 points to the level of 5,854.39 points.

The Shariah index also grew by 0.36% to 892.17 points.

The financial, industrial and services sectors leapt collectively by 0.27%, 0.87% and 0.43% respectively.

Trading volume rose to 16.7 million shares from 14.5 million shares exchanged on Wednesday, turnover also increased to OMR 3.6 million from OMR 2.9 million.

Al Jazeera Steel Products topped gainers by adding 0.43%, while Ahli Bank led decliners with a fall of 2.17%.

Al Jazeera Steel was the most active stock.
