Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) opened Monday’s session on a positive note as its benchmark MSM 30 grew by 0.08% or 4.72 points to the level of 5,848.5 points.

Meanwhile, the Shariah index stood at the level of 892 points.

Trading volume reached 942,000 shares exchanged through 151 transactions by 11:10 AM Muscat time, with a turnover of OMR 249,600.

The financial, services and industrial sectors rose collectively by 0.26%, 0.03% and 0.10% respectively.

National Gas was the best performing stock after adding 1.97%, while Ahli Bank led decliners with a decrease of 1.63%.

Bank Muscat made the highest trading activity as 546,000 shares were exchanged at OMR 210,800 through 76 transactions.
