Mubasher: GCC equity markets are likely to give a jittery performance on Monday amid concerns over the downturn of global markets and higher oil prices, analysts told Mubasher.

Most traders have started to prefer selective purchase after the disclosure of the first six-month financials for erasing some previous losses as well as ending August at a better quote, said market analyst Hamoud Al-Shammari.

Market analyst Ibrahim Al-Failakawi attributed this possible instable performance to either lack of positive data or speculation about future global events that have an impact some way or another on GCC bourses.

Al-Failakawi pointed out to the US Fed Chairwoman's speech on next Friday that will have a direct influence on the world markets and consecutively on the regional markets as well.

Stock traders are not advised to increase their positions amid the present weaker liquidity levels, Al-Shammari added.
