Kuwaiti stocks extend bear run to fourth day in row

Kuwait  - Mubasher: The Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) closed in negative territory for the fourth session in row, as the benchmark price index eased 0.45% or 24.6 points to close at 5,443.2 points.

Both the weighted index and KSE15 index declined by 0.043% and 0.33% respectively.

The market turnover increased today by 33.4% as it reached KWD 8.11 million up from KWD 6.08 million in the previous session, while the trading volume slide by 18.3% to 42.02 million shares from 51.44 million shares in the preceding session.

At the sectorial level, around eight sectors ended in red zone topped by gas &oil sector as it edged down 2..2% pressured by the stocks of Ikarus Petroleum that lost 7.8%.

The insurance sector as well as the telecom sector were the sole gainers as they added 0.68% and 0.25% respectively.
