Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Tuesday’s session falling by 0.87% or 97.43 points to the level of 11,116.42 points.
Trading volume decreased to 4.01 million shares from 5.19 million shares exchanged on Monday, turnover also shrank to QAR 160.76 million from QAR 204.8 million.
The index was pressured by the fall in Nakilat, Ooredoo, Milaha and Masraf Al Rayan by 2.9%, 1.85%, 1.4% and 1.04% respectively.
The market’s sectors fell collectively, topped by the transportation sector with a drop of 2.02%, followed by the telecom sector with a 1.5% decrease.
The real estate sector also declined by 0.91% as Mazaya Qatar and United Development slid 1.82% and 1.8% respectively. The banking sector shrank 0.4%.
