Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s annual inflation decreased to 3.8% in July 2016 from 4.1% in June, while the monthly inflation decelerated to 0.1% in July from 0.3% in June 2016.
Food and beverages inflation recorded -0.1% in July, compared to 0.1% in June, according to MubasherTrade report.
Transport inflation also fell to 9.4% year-on-year in July from 10.2% year-on-year in June.
On the other hand, furnishing, household equipment and maintenance prices rose 2% in July versus 2.7% in June.
'Housing and utilities' inflation went up slightly from 7.2% in June to 7.5% in July.
“This is in line with our previous view that the economic slowdown and tightened conditions will keep inflationary pressures muted in 2016,” the report said.
