ASE closes in green after 2 declines

Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) ended Tuesday’s trading session gaining 0.07% or 1.46 points, closing at the level of 2,087.65 points.

The main index rose on the back of the industrial sector, today’s only gainer, which added 1.26%, as Al-Eqbal gained 2.43%, while Phosphate Mines added 7.34% and led the session’s rising stocks.

The services sector declined 0.22%, dragged down by the Arab International for Education and Investment, which lost 4.29% and was the session’s biggest loser.

Similarly, the financial sector lost 0.19%, as Amad Investment, Cairo Amman Bank, and Ahli Bank decreased 1.38%, 1.07%, and 0.85% respectively.

Al Amal Investment rose 1.4%, and registered the biggest traded value and volume, with 1.5 million shares being exchanged at a total turnover of JOD 1.07 million.

Total traded volume increased to 6.5 million shares compared to 4.63 million in yesterday’s session, and total turnover also grew to JOD 7.5 million from JOD 5.4 million on Monday.
