Doha - Mubasher: The three transportation companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) posted a 14.1% decrease in total profits in the second quarter of 2016 to QAR 516.7 million ($141.94 million), from QAR 601.5 million ($165.23 million) in Q2-15.

The transportation sector in the QSE consists of 3 companies, Nakilat, Qatar Navigation (Milaha Maritime), and Gulf Warehousing.

Only Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC) recorded a 15.7% year-on-year increase in profits in Q2-16 to QAR 54.7 million, while Nakilat and Milaha both reported a retreat in Q2 profits.

The three companies reported a 5.9% retreat in H1-16 profits to QAR 1.57 billion, compared to QAR 1.23 billion.
