Kuwaiti bourse closes Wednesday’s session in red

Kuwait – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) dropped 0.24% or 13.33 points to close at 5,435.53 points on Wednesday.

Similarly, the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices fell 0.38% and 0.59% respectively.

KSE’s liquidity lost 0.7% to KWD 6.05 million after trading volume decreased 2.2% to 54.7 million shares.

The consumer goods services led seven decliners by 1.02%, affected by Kuwait Slaughter House which lost 5.13%.

The oil and gas sector topped five gainers by 1.7%, on the back of Napesco which went up 5.8% to be the winner.

Almal Investment was the top loser by 6.52% to 21.5 fils, yet the most active stock on which 9.62 million shares were traded at a value of nearly 214,800. 

Zain recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 1.4 million after 4.2 million shares were traded. The stock levelled down 1.5% to 330 fils.
