Mubasher: The Bahrain Bourse saw a negative performance this week, weighed down by the fall of three sectors.

The main index retreated 0.23% or 2.63 points to reach 1,149 points.

The services sector fell 1.65%, followed by the hotels and tourism, and commercial banks sectors at 1.02% and 0.85 respectively.

The investment sector rose 2.01%, while the industrial and insurance sectors stabilised.

Trading volume reached 26.184 million shares this week, compared to 14.960 million shares last week. Turnover stood at BHD 6.904 million, compared to BHD 3.72 million.

The commercial banks was the value leader after generating BHD 5.454 million, representing 79% of the market’s total trades.
