Dubai - Mubasher: Patent grants from the GCC countries in chemistry have seen a five-fold increase in the last decade, according to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Petrochemicals annual production reached $102.6 billion in the GCC, as it become a main generator of patents from the Gulf region along IT and electronics, according to a press release by ArabPlast exhibition.

ArabPlast is the world’s leading plastics and petrochemical show, and it is set to hold its 13th edition from 8 to 10 January 2017 at the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Leading companies of plastics and rubber industry participate in the show to unveil ground-breaking product solutions, cutting-edge technologies, and revolutionary ideas,” said Satish Khanna the general manager of Al Fajer Information and Services.

ArabPlast is jointly organised by Al Fajer Information and Services, and Germany’s Messe Dusseldorf.
