Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange closed in the red zone for the third day in row on selling pressures by foreign investors.

The benchmark index EGX30 lost 0.25% or 19.8 points to close at 8,032.4 points, while the small and medium caps index EGX70 went down 0.68% to close at 356.2 points.

Similarly, the broader index EGX100 slide 0.26% to close at 801.2 points.

On other hand, the equal weighted index EGX50 INCHED UP 0.22% to close at 1,369.17 points.

The stocks of CIB, largest constitute of EGX30, slide 1.6% to EGP 48.36 on trading value of EGP 94.09 million.

Foreign investors came as net sellers with EGP 75.02 million, while local and Arab investors ended as net buyers with EGP 61.4 million and EGP 13.6 million respectively.

The market witnessed 123 million shares changed hands worth EGP 399.9 million.

The market capitalization shed EGP 641 million reaching EGP 407.97 million.

Arabian Cement, Ezz Steel and Talaat Moustafa being the main decliners; declining 2.5%, 2.2% and 2.1% respectively. On the other hand, both Orascom Con­struction and Edita closed up 1.9% while Pioneers closed 1.2% up.
