Egypt's parliament nods for tax resolution law
The law aims at accelerating the process of tax dispute settlement

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt's House of Representative approved on Tuesday the tax dispute resolution law in an attempt to re-attract foreign investors whom fled after the 25th January revolution, said Ashraf El-Araby, a member of the Economic Committee.

The law aims at accelerating the process of tax dispute settlement by authorizing committees headed by experts upon the approval of finance ministry to look into the case rather than courts, El-Araby added.

The settlement process would start when the investor makes a request to the tax authority by which court proceedings would be suspended for three months or longer, if required, El-Araby concluded.
