Dubai-Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw a negative performance in Sunday's early trades, weighed down by blue chips especially in the investment and banks sectors.

The main index went down 0.41% or 14.57 points to reach 3,499 points by 10:20am UAE time.

The transportation sector led losers after falling 1.13% as Aramex slid 3.3%. The investment sector also fell 0.7% as DFM Company slid 1.5%.

The consumer staples sector also decreased 0.7% due to a decline in Dubai Parks and Resorts by 0.6%. Likewise, the banks sector retreated 0.4% as Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) tumbled 0.7%.

Turnover reached AED 40.20 million generated from the exchange of 28.63 million shares through 375 transactions.
